George Allen is a racist!
Can you believe such a powerful person in government.
He is on record for:
- At 24 years old, he joined the Ku Klux Klan.
- Wrote in his book that he vowed "with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."
- Opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Made the argument that the creators of the Declaration of Independence simply did not intend that these words should be taken literally to be true when they wrote that all men are created equal.
- Quoted as saying, "Men and races of men differ in appearance, ways, physical power, mental capacity, creativity, and vision. One man is born blind. Another is born lame. Geniuses are not made; they are born. Between two individuals, as between two races, there are broad differences."
- Opposed the Voting Rights Act of 1965
- Quoted as saying, "There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time. I'm going to use that word."
Obviously I'm not speaking of George Allen. I am speaking however of the ranking Democrat on the Appropriations Committee Robert Byrd. He is the longest-serving current member of the U.S. Congress. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 3, 1953, until he won election to the Senate on January 3, 1959. Also Byrd holds the record for serving the longest as a member of the US Senate in American history with a career of serving 47 years.
Now, there you have it. This information is readily available. You were looking for dirt on Allen, but I gave you real dirt on Byrd. What will you do with this information? Will you continue in your righteous indignation? Don't be a political HACK .... pleeze!
